About: An innovative ally development, government affairs, and communications firm looking to hire employee to assist with research, writing, and support of coalition building and event planning in the Albany, NY area. Employee status can be part time or full time based on availability.
Duties include: maintain in-depth contact databases, drafting of materials such as opinion-editorials and letters to the editor, drafting of media and public relations material, and general staff support on issues at the state and federal levels in New York, New Jersey, and the northeast. Additionally, provide assistance at client events such as press conferences, roundtables, and meetings.
Availability: Based on experience/skill and availability, this position can be part time, maximum 28 hours per week, each Monday through Thursday or full time, Monday through Friday. Must be available a few times a year for travel, and for occasional weekend hours.
Compensation: $15-$22/hour, commensurate with experience and writing skill level. Upon 6 months of employment, continued employment and wages will be reviewed.
